Anyone else have an issue when typing with a braille device where the contractions for the words to, and by, won't work? I figure it's a UEB thing but the problem persists even after I changed braille code to US English in voiceover. When I try to use those contractions the cursor kind of jumps to random places and I can't position it at the end again.
I haven't had the cursor jumping problem, but I absolutely can't use by and to. It seems rather strange.
Hmm guess the cursor issue must be a HIMS issue then.
With some versions of iOS 11 I have found Braille Screen input to be tricky, often needing recalibrating. I downloaded 11.1.2 last night and am please.d I also noticed with 11.1.1 that search screens were everywhere! In the app switcher, on the lock screen, and sometimes on my home screen in the way of my app icons, and the cancel button did nothing. Many sighted folks aren't happy with iOS 11. This is a ramble for this particular thread but I, after some poor upgrades from the first release, am once again happy with iOS 11. I have however heard that using a display with iOS 11 for fast typists is not a good idea at this point.
to the sea by the river ... the to and by contractions aren't available in UEB anymore, part of disambiguation.
But but but, I switched voiceover from UEB to US English.
